Tale
The story tells about Kathryn Ravenscroft, a television journalist-documentary whose work was built on uncovering violations of long-respected institutions. Initially, there were rumors that Gary Oldman would be chosen for the role, but he was replaced by Kevin Kline. Jonathon uses the same lens in several episodes.
Post-End Update: I downgraded from 8 to 7
Such a lens would not be able to focus on close objects, such as a selfie with Sasha or in the bedroom with Ekaterina. In the end, it's a pretty simple story that gets complicated. only with the help of narrative techniques, which, I think, is the whole point.
Three words from Cate Blanchett, and everything would be immediately clear
The main problem is that people do not behave and react like real people. As an example, you can cite colleagues who decide to instantly hate her because of gossip about some old man. By the way, even in the book version of events there is no reason to hate her so much.
It's hard to understand bad reviews
And in the end, "men are bad, stupid or weak, women are good"; it's a bit boring now. In the middle of the story, when they don't have all the parts, people decide that there are holes in the plot. Others who think that the seduction wall was ridiculous - they are clearly not men, it was incredible, but the actress who plays the younger version of Cate Blanchett is fantastic and so beautiful that my eyes hurt.
The cinematography is excellent, the actors are excellent, the plot is fascinating
I would prefer to wait until the end to give a rating and review. but the obvious stupidity of the negative reviews prompted me to write something. I don't know how he will land, but for now, I highly recommend it.
